Lawana has more than 20 years’ experience working in the media and with the media. Her roles have included media manager for Melbourne Water, media liaison for EPA Victoria and Tourism Victoria, journalist at The Herald and Herald Sun, editor and journalist at Leader Newspapers and national publicity co-ordinator for Austereo.

Lawana is a skilled communicator with experience in issues and crisis management, speech writing, preparation of website text and publications, and media liaison.
